Easy Up-Do Hair Tutorial - November 2015

Wednesday, November 18, 2015

Hey everyone. Now, because I believe you should always set yourself new challenges, today I decided to do a hair tutorial for you all. I am by no means perfect at doing hair (or much for that matter, but I do my best) but this is something pretty quick that I like to do and it looks like you did a lot more fancy pinning than you actually did!

Step 1 - Here I am starting with my normal
wavy/messy hair, brushed through and you could
backcomb for some added volume but I didn't
bother (yes, it really is that bushy natrually).
Step 2 - Put your hair in a side parting
and from the lighter side, pull the front section
into a ponytail. Where you pull this will
dictate where your style will sit so make
it as low or as high as you like.

Step 3 - Section off another piece of hair from your
crown to your neck and make a second ponytail
 roughly the same size.
Step 4 - Split the first ponytail in to 2 sections
and pull one section over and one under the
 second ponytail.

Step 5 - Section off another piece of hair,
pulling in the two strands of the first ponytail
and secure in to a third ponytail.

Step 6 - Repeat this process until all of the hair
is secured. At this stage you can tease the
hair to hide the hair bands. You could also
braid the remaining hair in to a messy
fishtail braid for a different look!

Step 7 - Don't tie the last section in place
 - once you have pulled the two sections from the
second to last ponytail around the last ponytail,
hold all the hair together and twist the hair
 towards your head.

Step 8 - Pull the twisted hair upwards and back
around your head to meet the very first
ponytail. Keep twisting the hair as you go.

Step 10 - Ta-da! A fancy twisted up-do!

Step 9 - Wrap the end of your hair around the
first ponytail band. Tuck and pin the
hair in place.

So, we made it! My very first hair tutorial, done. You don't have to be any kind of perfect to do this and once you get the knack of it, it's simple and fast for those mornings when you need to look like you tried when you really really didn't (it's not just me who has those, right?).

Finished look from the front - look at my tired little face!
I hope you enjoyed this and I'd love to see pictures if you give this a try. Or if you have any other foolproof fancy hair fixes then please, send them my way.
